Overview

• Presented by: St. Joseph’s School & Parent Support Group (PSG)
• Purpose: Fundraiser for school needs and a valuable artistic experience for students.
• Eligibility: Open to all students Grades 1–7.

Parent Involvement

• Mandatory 6 volunteer hours per family.
• Parent Meeting: Oct 3, 3:45–4:45 PM (sign-up for volunteer roles).

Audition Details

• Submission Deadline: Tuesday, Sept 23, 6 PM via Google Form.
• Requirements:
  • Student photo
  • Completed audition form
  • 1-minute video introducing self + singing one excerpt (choices: I Just Can’t Wait to Be King, They Live in You, Shadowland, or Circle of Life).
• Callbacks: Friday, Sept 26 (email invites sent Sept 24).
• Cast Announcement: Saturday, Sept 27 via email.

Rehearsals & Performances

• Fall rehearsals: Fridays 2:45–5:30 PM (Oct 3–Dec 12).
• Winter rehearsals (Jan–Mar): Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 2:45–5:30 PM.
• Mandatory attendance for blackout week, cue-to-cue, dress rehearsal, and performances.

Show dates:

• Thurs, Mar 5 – 7 PM
• Fri, Mar 6 – 1 PM (matinee) & 7 PM
• Sat, Mar 7 – 1 PM & 7 PM
• Additional performances: ICS Concert (Apr 14), Festival (Apr/May), Fine Arts Night (June 10).

Fees

• $90 per family (includes 1 cast t-shirt).
• Extra shirts: $25 each.
• Pay by e-transfer to [email protected] with message “LK Fees + child’s name.”
• No cash accepted.

Roles Overview

Lead & supporting roles include Young Simba, Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Scar, Rafiki, Timon, Pumbaa, Zazu, and various ensembles (Lionesses, Hyenas, Animals, Grasslands, Villagers, etc.).

Some drumming roles (Gr. 5–7) will be cast later.
